By downloading, accessing, or using the ScreenCopy application or the website at screencopy.io(collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ScreenCopy provides image-to-text extraction, converting images into plain text, LaTeX, code, Markdown, and structured table formats. The Service is provided "as is" and may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or violates any third-party rights.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the application.
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service in a manner that exceeds reasonable use.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service.

4. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, logo, and underlying technology, is owned by ScreenCopy and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any images you upload and any text extracted from them. We claim no rights over your content.

5. Accuracy of Results

While we strive for high accuracy, extracted text may contain errors, especially with low-quality images, unusual fonts, or complex layouts. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all extracted content before use. ScreenCopy is not liable for any inaccuracies in the output.

6. Subscriptions & Payments

Certain features may require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's terms. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's account settings. Refunds are handled according to Apple's refund policy.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScreenCopy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the Service.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by updating this page. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
