What types of content can ScreenCopy extract?

ScreenCopy can extract virtually any text from your screen — including handwritten notes, math equations (rendered as LaTeX), tables, code snippets, and regular printed text. It works on blurry or low-contrast images too.

Does ScreenCopy support languages other than English?

Yes. ScreenCopy is fully multilingual and supports all languages. Just capture the screen and the text will be extracted in its original language.

Can I export my extracted text?

Yes. You can export any extraction as a PDF, Word document (.docx), or Excel spreadsheet (.xlsx) directly from the app.

Can I save or download the screenshots I take?

Yes. Every screenshot or image you capture is available in your history panel and can be downloaded to your device at any time.

What is the selection editor?

The selection editor lets you precisely define which part of the screen to extract from. You can draw a rectangle around a region or use the lasso tool to trace a freehand shape. The editor supports smooth pinch-to-zoom and panning so you can get exactly what you need.

What keyboard shortcuts are available?

ScreenCopy comes with customizable shortcuts. By default there is one shortcut to capture your full screen, one to start a region selection capture, and one to quickly cancel an active selection without taking a screenshot.

What are the app toggles for?

There are three toggles you can switch on or off: Auto-copy extracted text (copies text to your clipboard as soon as extraction finishes), Auto-extract (automatically runs extraction whenever you add an image or screenshot), and Hide app while capturing (hides the ScreenCopy window so it does not appear in your screenshot).

What is the history panel?

The history panel shows all your previous extractions in one place. You can browse, search, and revisit any past result, or delete individual entries to keep things tidy.
